The Reflex B118 is a compact high power sub bass enclosure designed to operate over the 34 – 95 Hz pass band. The B118 is a portable product with applications within all aspects of live performance where it can be combined with products from the Axis, MQ or Vector series product ranges. The product is also suited to use within fixed installation projects.
The enclosure contains an 18” long excursion cone driver with neodymium magnet structure and 100 mm split wound voice coil to enable very large excursion limits. This is loaded into a direct radiating, vented and cross braced enclosure which is manufactured from 18mm birch plywood and coated in a heavy duty polyurea finish. The cabinet front has a protective steel grill coated in a water resistant powder coat finish which has an acoustically transparent filter medium bonded to its back surface. Each cabinet has a pair of steel bar handles fitted to the side panels and the option of a padded cover to aid protection during transit. The cabinet back also has the option of being fitted with castors. The cabinet base has polyethylene runners and the cabinet top panel housings to aid stacking cabinets in vertical columns. The top panel contains an M20 plate to allow cabinets to be pole mounted above it.
Electrical connection to the cabinet is via two parallel linked Neutrik NL4 connectors on the cabinet rear panel. Additionally a third grill mounted Neutrik NL4 allows connection when the cabinet is used in cardioid mode. The cabinet also features a fourth NL4 connection which allows auxiliary enclosures to be driven from the 2+/- input connection feed.
The Reflex B118 is designed to be driven by either the eFlex Q6 system amplifier, which will drive one enclosure per output channel, or the eFlex Q20 system amplifier which will drive three enclosures per output channel. The eFlex units contain pre-sets that allow the Reflex B118 to be integrated with the MQL EVO and Vector series products for which it is the preferred sub bass option
